Impol has a wide range of tools for manufacturing discs at its disposal. Careful maintenance helps our products meet the wishes and demands of our customers, and we are constantly developing new solutions. Discs and stamped shapes with specific properties can be subject to further treatment by the following methods: deep drawing, spinning and subsequently enameling or teflonising. In addition, technological knowledge enables us to advise users of semi-finished goods on which chemical composition and properties should be selected to meet and exceed their expectations.
Properties
Discs are manufactured from 1000, 4000, 5000, 6000, and 8000 series alloys. Soft, half-hard, and hard tempers that can also be combined with deep drawing ability are also available. Their mechanical properties comply with international standards and can be fully customized to the customer’s demands.
Intended uses
Technological manufacturing process
Discs are manufactured from rolling slabs subject to hot rolling to the prescribed thickness. Cooling is pursued by cold rolling supported by additional operations such as in-process annealing and trimming. Cold rolling until the final thickness is followed by stamping and final annealing. These combined operations provide the desired final disc shape, prescribed dimensions, and quality.
